Trolls are distinguished by their gray skin and candy corn-colored horns, which vary in shape among members of the species. They feature black lips, yellow nails, and yellowish-orange eyes with grey pupils that gradually fill in with the color of their blood.
Trolls all have black hair. Burgundy, bronze, yellow, lime, olive, jade, teal, cerulean, indigo, purple, violet, and fuchsia are the twelve natural blood colors, from lightest to darkest. Low blood Trolls have a high possibility of obtaining psionic abilities, although they live shorter lifetimes and are more prone to harm.
Psionic abilities can emerge in high blood, but it is extremely unusual. High blood Trolls enjoy extremely long lives, are extremely immune to damage, and are physically stronger to some extent. Equius Zahhak is an exception. High blood is powerful, but not THAT powerful. Trolls have one non-natural blood caste that can only be obtained through genetic mutation.
This mutation results in bright crimson blood, similar to what is seen in humans. Trolls are a bloodthirsty, rage-filled conqueror species. Trolls with higher bloodlines are often more violent than Trolls with lower bloodlines.
